Master Digital Design Meetup

Designing for a Better World

Evenement

On February the 13th our Master's programme in Digital Design is organising an interesting meetup under the theme Designing for a Better World.

How do we get to pay the rent while trying to save the world? There are often clear borders between commercial work and the greater good. But as our society faces increasing social and digital challenges is this division still viable?

On this evening, our guests will present examples of design for a better world. We'll question whether these can still make commercial sense or even if 'commercialization' should be part of the equation.

Speaker

Franklin Heijnen, Creative Director at Deloitte Digital. Franklin will present the project Alice Cares, a social robot developed by Deloitte and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam to provide support and better quality of life to elders. For more info on this project visit www.alicecares.nl.
